The Wreck

This is a HORRIBLE picture of me, but at least there is proof that I was there! Nick & Eric
This boat was pushed onto land during Hurricane Hugo in 1989...I'm pretty sure thats the story behind it, Eric would probably know a little more since this was the first area in his mission.
I wanted to go ahead and start posting some of the pics from our little trip last week. These are all out of order, but oh well. Eric's best buddy Nick flew out from Utah to spend some time with us and go to a concert on saturday evening with Eric. (Sunny Day Real Estate, the boys couldn't resist) Anyway, we picked Nick up from the airport and immediately hit the road down to Charleston. We made a quick stop in Columbia for dinner and then we were back at the drive. We arrived in Charleston just in time to go down town and do a Haunted Ghost Tour. It was a pretty fun activity. We were able to get a lot of the history mixed in with some fun "tales". The tour actually led us through a cemetery that had graves dating back to the early 1600's! Pretty cool, I wish I had snapped some pics, but I was too busy trying to keep Sarah Grace quiet. The second day was filled with tons of activities, but I will post about those later! The pics in this post are from dinner that evening in Mt. Pleasant at our favorite restaurant, The Wreck. It's literally a hole in the wall kinda place. You would pretty much have to be a local to know that it even exists. It's located on Shem Creek, throughout dinner we were entertained by dolphins parading through the water. I really didn't eat, I was too busy watching outside and shifting in my chair. The food is amazing, if they didn't catch it that day, then you don't get it! If you ever come down to visit us and we make it to Charleston, we will definitely take ya there!

Those pictures are cool. I can't wait to see the rest. Someday when we make it out there, we will have to take the grand tour.
