Trunk or Treat!

After Trunk or Treat Eric made a late night snack of nachos, (healthy right?) Ok, well I asked him too! We were sitting on the couch chowing down and Sarah Grace was just walking around and playing. Well she must have slipped into the kitchen because she came back in with a big block of cheese and was just going to down biting it! (The girl is obsessed with cheese, she consumes so much) Kind of a goofy pic of me, that's so not my natural smile. I was talking through my teeth. Lovely huh?! She was not happy with Eric's creepy hands and refused to hold the scary one! This picture was mainly posted to show the back of her tutu. I attached a boa to it and had my Mom cover it with a bow! Seriously, she was the cutest kid there! My Grandma joined us tonight and took Sarah Grace to a few trunks. I think they both go a kick out of that! Can you guess who Will is dressed as? That's right, Steve Spurrier. Carolina plays Tennessee tomorrow night, hopefully we will pull off a win!
My pictures aren't in order again, but I'm too tired to fix them and well, they really aren't anything spectacular. They are mostly just pics to document the night.
We had our ward Trunk or Treat activity tonight and we really enjoyed ourselves. Eric made his amazing chili, I made an apple pie (that wasn't even touched), and we got to deck out our trunk! I spent all day hitting the grocery store, loading up decorations, baking a pie, dealing with crazy aka Sarah Grace, and straightening my hair to only pull it up later on in the evening. (My hair is a HUGE issue for me right now that MUST be addressed during another post.) When we got to the church I realized that I forgot to grab the extension cord so Eric had to run over to Big Lots and pick one up. The car was lit up beautifully and the trunk looked awesome. One of these years we are going to buy a fog machine, I keep saying "oh well we will get one next halloween," but I have yet to purchase one. One year we will get one & our car will be super awesome! Sarah Grace looked adorable in her kitty costume, she ate her chili like a champ, and just wanted to hug and chase down all the kids at the activity. That's my girl! She was really impressed by the children dressed up as skeletons, the bones really threw her off and she kept rubbing their costumes. Kinda funny, anyway, after about 5 trunks I think she got the hang of it, we couldn't really get her to say Trick or Treat, but she would say Thank you once she received her candy. Oh well, maybe we will have better luck tomorrow night! Happy Halloween everyone!

Venting

Can I just say that working on Eric's grad applications are stressing me out. I'm physically getting ill over these stupid things. He has 8 schools that he is applying to and each school wants something different. Did I mention that he has less than 5 weeks to get this all done! 8 schools...oh bother, the worst part is, it's going to cost us a fortune. I don't know, I'm beginning to think maybe we should put all of our eggs in maybe 4 baskets instead of 8. I feel pretty useless too, all I can do is organize all of the information for him, which is a shame considering I spend my days at home while he is working and finishing his masters. Sorry for this boring post, I just needed to vent and I'm pretty sure Eric is tired of hearing me complain!

Nivens Farm

Apparently she was ready to go home!
Itchy hay
This is Bubba the calf.
Sarah Grace had a blast jumping on these inner tubes, she would watch the other kids bounce and then would try to bounce as high as they would. * Yes, my pics are tripping out again on blogger. I'm not sure what the deal is!
Saturday morning we got up somewhat early for us and went to the farm. It was definitely more fun this year with Sarah Grace. She was so excited to see the animals and make their sounds. When she sees chickens she now says, "cock-a-doodle-doo" and they are all named Cocky. Go figure. She was running back and forth between the animals, but the baby chicks did frighten her a little. We were able to walk through the pumpkins and Sarah Grace picked a perfect pumpkin for halloween. (Eric & I are cheap and we wait until the day before halloween to buy ours at a church next to our house.) When she first saw all of the small pumpkins she would pick them up and throw them. Luckily no one was around to witness it, but Eric & me! We ended the visit with homemade apple fritters and apple cider. So delicious! Saturday night we were in Columbia for the Carolina/Vanderbilt game, but I guess that will be a completely different post.
*In case yall didn't know, the stress level is pretty high at our house right now. Eric graduates with his masters in 7 weeks and all of his grad apps are due in less than 5. We are running around trying to finish everything up! We have our ward Trunk or Treat on friday, saturday is halloween plus Carolina vs. Tennessee. I haven't made Sarah Grace's costume yet, Eric has to make chili and I have to make a pie for friday night. There just doesn't seem to be enough time in the day to get everything done!

First Haircut

Sarah Grace had a much needed haircut on friday night. Her top layers were long and kinda scraggily, so my Mom did some trimming for us! Sarah Grace was such a good girl and just stood still while her hair was snipped at. We love the new do and she was prancing around right after. I guess she knew she was a cutie!
