Our little Pumpkin

*This is how Eric let her pick out her pumpkin... he just "flew" her over them and the one she reached out to touch was hers! We finally ventured out to Niven's Farm saturday morning. We woke up to nice cool weather that was perfect for pumpkin picking. Sarah Grace was decked out in her cute overalls and orange onesie for the occasion and I had to bring along the pumpkin tutu! The farm was a decent size and super crowded with families having parties and children running around everywhere. The farm had a pretty good set up, there were hay rides, mazes, apple orchards, pumpkin fields, they even had massive tubes and tire swings for kids to jump/swing on. My favorite part had to be the farm animals...pigs, goats, cows, donkeys, baby chicks, and pheasants. Sarah Grace was pretty amused by them all. She especially liked the pheasants and giggled the entire time she was watching them! The farm had this great store where you could buy homemade cider, apple/pumpkin bread and fritters, tons of sauces and syrups. It was pretty neat. Oh and they had pumpkin patches filled with some of the biggest pumpkins I have ever seen! Anyway, the trip was during Sarah Grace's sleep time, she wasn't crabby at all, but not her bubbly self. She was staring most of the visit, way too much going on for her I think! We  walked around and looked at all the pumpkins and the farm animals and Sarah Grace got to pick out her very own 1st pumpkin. (the best part if you ask me) We didn't stay too long, but managed to walk out with cider, a pumpkin, an amazing homemade fritter, and one tired baby! I think we had about a hour to go home and get ready for the game on saturday night. Overall it was a fun visit and I would like to go back in the next week or so and pick apples... and maybe buy a few more fritters!
*I do realize that this is a TON of pictures, I had to limit myself to these few... but I figure this is my blog and I can put up as many as I want!

I love these pictures, they are so cute! Aren't little farms like that fun? I think they are a great tradition to start in families.
