Tonight was the first friday evening we've had Eric home in quite some time. I'm really enjoying this new schedule of his, I'm not sure how he feels with the huge case load, but I like having him home! I decided I would make chicken pot pie tonight and followed a recipe of my aunts. After I had everything mixed I realized it was a massive amount of food, apparently she bakes it in a large casserole dish. I now have enough to make the pie I again next week. Yay for repeats! Anyway, it turned out to be pretty good and I even made the top crust out of acorn and leaf shapes. I thought it would be festive being fall and everything. Afterwards we headed out to the high school football game. It was a pretty one sided game but Sarah Grace had fun digging in the popcorn box again and she tried sneaking several pieces. Crazy girl! It got a little too chilly, so we had to head out at the beginning of the 4 quarter. Sarah Grace is becoming a pro at sitting through football games!
*Did I mention that Wednesday while I was at work my super cute husband surprised me with a bouquet of flowers?! All the women I work with asked if he had done something... I thought that was pretty funny! I married a sweet guy!

So I was impressed you just made the pot pies, but acorn and leaf patterns, man you are a cookin fool. Now you'll have to teach me how. I love how festive they were. I love the picture of Grace in the hood, so cute! How fun to get flowers just cause, that's the best.
