Crazy Saturdays

Eric & I had a busy and fun Saturday planned. Well let's just say all of our plans went to heck! We were going to leave the house around 2pm to head down to the Temple. After several phone calls I found out we could only be squeezed in at 1:20. At that point it was 11:20, Sarah Grace and I were still in our pajamas, and Eric was still sleeping. It's also a hour and a half drive to Columbia plus you have to tack on an extra 15 minutes because the temple is kinda out of the way and towards the other side. We were racing through the house trying to get cleaned up and out the door. It was everything but 12 when we hit the interstate. I think some people on the other side really wanted their work done, because we shouldn't have made it, but we did. Stephanie was there to meet us so she could watch Sarah Grace, I literally jumped out of the car and she tossed me the names and we went running in. Once we were inside things were nice and calm. Eric and I were both able to do initiatories for sixteen of my family members. It was a wonderful experience and I can't wait to go back and do more! Afterwards we picked up Steph and Sarah Grace and got lunch at California Dreaming. Which was excellent by the way. I had to make a quick stop into Joanns to get some fabric for some chairs that I'm covering, but I after talking to one of the ladies there I ended up leaving and just ordering the fabric online. Next on the list was Boo at the Zoo. By time we got there it was sold out. Yes, SOLD OUT!  I was sooooo angry. I honestly think if we had been there a hour early it still would have been sold out. It was very disappointing. I was just glad that Sarah Grace was ok with it. I think if she had been a year older she would have understood more and probably would have been devastated. We settled for yogurt instead and got home just in time to see the end of the Carolina/Vanderbilt game. Today we were going to take Sarah Grace to the farm we go to every year for pumpkins, but its a pretty nasty day, so unless it clears up in the next couple of hours I think thats going to be out! Oh well. The carolina/tennessee game should be a 12:00 kick off, so we should make it back for Trunk or Treat and let me tell ya, Gracie girl has a super cute costume!

What a busy wonderful day. I'm so glad you made such a super-human effort to get to the Temple. I know those good family members were happy to see you there. Too bad about the Zoo. I always love the pictures you get around Halloween with SG.

You forgot to mention, Joann's was moved to two notch! SO it was forever out of the way!
