Clydesdales

The Budweiser Clydesdales are in town this week for our local Spring Fling.  Yesterday I took Sarah Grace to see the massive beauties. She had soooooo much fun. She ran around like a mad woman in the stables talking to all of the "horsies" she was absolutely mesmerized by them. I don't think my pictures really do them any justice, these guys were huge and they looked like gentle giants. The dalmatian from all of the commercials was also there and we were able to pet and cuddle with him for a few minutes too. He was a little sweetie, he didn't budge when Sarah Grace through her arms around him and tried to sit on him. They will be hooking the horses up to the carriage later on in the week, I think it would be fun to see a glimpse of them in action!

Not too much to say

I know I haven't been much of a blogger lately. It's only partly my fault though, half the time iPhoto is loading up correctly on our desktop and Eric always has the laptop with him at work. I think people are more likely to read what you have to say when you have cute pictures posted. So as you can see I don't have anything fun for you to look at so if you stop reading after this sentence I won't be surprised. The last week or so has been very interesting. We were just starting to get the hang of Eric's new weekend therapy gig, when other options were thrown our way. Lots of decisions...lots and lots of them. Oh boy, I sure hope we are doing the right thing.  Let's just say there will be some major adjusting around here. In other news, my strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries are growing like crazy. So far the animals have not discovered them, but I think its just a matter of time. I'm hoping to plant some tomatoes and maybe a couple of other veggies this week. It's a goal anyway...  Sarah Grace and I have been trying to get into the gym at least twice a week, I'm hoping this week we can start moving it up to 4 times a week. I'm actually to the point now where I can run for a significant amount of time, well, significant to me.  They have a play area and Sarah Grace loves going to play with the kids. In fact she had a meltdown the other day when she was with my mom and they passed it.  My Mom couldn't figure out why she was screaming and then she saw the gym. Kinda funny I think. Sarah Grace is sooooo stinking cute right now, I really need to be better about blogging the funny things she says and does. She can sing almost all of her primary songs and other little songs she knows by herself. She also is a huge Neil Diamond fan and has his "Sweet Caroline" down, she has also moved on to Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'."  She's a riot I tell ya! Sarah Grace is also speaking in sentences now which is fun to hear. It also frightens me how quickly she picks things up. We are definitely having to watch what we say and do around her. The month of May is going to be a busy one for us, it feels like we have something going on every weekend, on top of birthdays and Mothers Day. We have a little trip down to Charleston in a couple of weeks and I'm so excited about it. It will be quick, but very much welcomed.  I've never been to the aquarium down there (although they did hire me over the fun when we first moved here) so we're thinking of taking Sarah Grace. I'm also hoping I can visit the Market and pick up some fun goodies before our trip to Utah! Which reminds me that I'm driving around with a Utah drivers license still which expires on my birthday (I know, I'm such a rebel) and we need to have an I.D. made for girl baby before we fly. Maybe since I posted this I will actually remember! So this is a pretty sad excuse for a quick update on our little lives down in the south, but you get the point right?!

Check

Finally ordered Sarah Grace's flower girl dress. That's one thing out of the way. It seems like I have a list that is forever long of things that I need to get done or events/activities we have to go to in the next 8 weeks. I know the picture above is tiny, but the dress is beautiful, and the back, well its precious. After the wedding in May you will probably be seeing a lot of this little beauty! Gotta get my money's worth right? Oh and she will not be wearing the headpiece! All I have to do now is buy some shoes, make a headband and her ensemble will be complete.

Dancing

I try not to get addicted to too many shows, but I will have to say that I thoroughly enjoy Dancing With The Stars.  This season they have several famous people who are really doing a great job, some do have dancing backgrounds and others do not, but you see improvement at least from those who don't.  Then there is Kate Gosselin.  Why is she still on the show? People, quit voting for her, she's horrible.  I never truly believed people who said they can't dance, but my goodness, if they look anything like her, well then its a fact, they can't dance.  I hate being so harsh, but she's honestly just embarrassing herself. She literally walks through her routines and looks lost the entire time.  Kate, go home to your kids!  Oh and Pamela Anderson, you're gross, not sexy!

A night in the garden

Eric & I have been putting off working in our garden for a couple of weeks now. Monday night we finally decided to get to work. I purchased several plants a couple of weeks ago that were probably going to die soon if not put in the ground.  We lost several bushes back there when the car drove through, thankfully the car didn't damage our raspberry bush or our strawberries which are spreading like crazy. Eric with the help of Sarah Grace turned the soil up and planted two large hydrangea bushes and two azalea bushes. We also got our blueberry plant back in the ground. Once the temperatures stop dropping at night we'll plant tomatoes and other veggies in front of them. We're pretty excited about all of our little plants and our new patio. Sarah Grace has her own little watering can and loves to get up early and go out and water them. Unfortunately now that everything is in the ground she comes out really dirty! Oh well, I guess I'll have to get over the mess, I can't say much because I know I used to make mud pies!  Maybe I'll post some pictures in a few weeks of the back when everything is in, the front of our house isn't too exciting is mostly just shrubbery and some potted and hanging plants. But I am thrilled that my gladiolus are popping back up!

Easter

I'm becoming a slacker again when it comes to my blog, it just seems that something is always going on and by time I get around to it, I'm exhausted. So here are a few Easter pictures a week late! Sarah Grace and I spent the morning eating breakfast and digging through her Easter basket. Eric had some counseling to do that morning so he met up with us right before Conference. I hadn't heard from him all morning so I went ahead and gave the girl her Easter treats, well, I wasn't supposed to. Sarah Grace got her Easter basket twice...don't tell Eric, he still doesn't know! We had a wonderful dinner at my parents house and I'm positive I gained two pounds that day. I had to work hard last week to shed those...haha! Sarah Grace also got to find eggs with Will between Conference sessions.  We loved being able to watch conference and feel the spirit. Such wonderful talks!

Are you kidding me?

This morning I got up to add our Easter pictures and when I clicked on iphoto, it was empty. Thats right, zero pictures. I tried to stay calm and I restarted the computer, but no luck. Eric has told me that our external didn't load up right, but I can't figure it out over the phone. Hopefully he can fix it this afternoon, if not, I will have a huge melt down. Wish Eric Luck!

Friday night happenings

All of her decorating options...

She was very proud of her work!

Before I get into all of our Easter happenings I thought I should post some of our friday evening activities.  Eric was off of work at a pretty decent time so we decided to take Sarah Grace to the park when she woke up from her nap.  Oh man, she had a blast running around.  She didn't so much care about the slides like she usually does, she just wanted to sprint around.  We were worn out after about an hour so we picked a couple of pizzas and headed back home. I had bought some pink chocolate earlier in the week in hopes of making chocolate bunnies with Sarah Grace, but they didn't turn out so well.  We stuck with just big round chocolate circles instead.  Sarah Grace had so much fun decorating them.  She covered them in sprinkles and I think every blob had at least 3 or 4 jelly beans on them.  I did struggle a little bit with all of this freedom, (I tend to have issues with messes, although you would never walk through my house and think it was spotless), but I managed once I realized how much joy it was bringing her.  This was an activity that we will definitely have to do again with her, only maybe we'll do cookies next time!

Easter Dress

I didn't want to get too behind on my posting again, so I figured I better hurry up and get pictures up of Sarah Grace in her Easter dress. I am so glad spring is finally here and we can spend time outside again. It's been in the 80's here this week and all Sarah Grace wants to do is play outside, which is understandable, but unfortunately we all have allergies, so its killing us! haha We have some fun things planned for this weekend, including dying Easter eggs tonight so I'll try to take some pics to share with everyone.  Have a good Conference weekend yall!
