Blah

I was told last night by my Dad that my blog is boring. I agree, it is. I can honestly say that I don't enjoy blogging anymore and its become a chore. I also don't enjoy looking at other peoples blogs. I find myself comparing my life to others and I shouldn't do that. It mostly makes me feel inadequate and I don't need that! So if my blogging has been come less and less I apologize. I will blog when I feel like it and when I get around to it. As far as news goes, we're pretty boring. We've now painted our bedroom and Sarah Grace's, Eric is still working on one of the bathrooms upstairs that had an awful texture on the wall and we've started to peel off the hideous ducks in the kitchen. I just keep thinking, "one day this house will look awesome." In the meantime I'm living in small little messes. Oh well! Last wednesday we had my family over for dinner and my brother mentioned that he was having three of his friends spend the night. They all wanted to get up early for the Turkey Bowl Thanksgiving morning and thought it would be easier if they were all together. Well my Dad volunteered my house for the boys to sleep at. Lets just say I had 4 teenage boys playing xbox all night. I think it was 3am before everyone was settled. I heard rumors that Scout snored all night and that she was hit several times with the remote control. The boys were all out of the house by 8 am and we had a mostly lazy morning peeling wallpaper and cooking. We had a wonderful time with my family eating, napping, and hanging out. In the meantime we've managed to get all of our Christmas decorations up and the lights on the house. I've also wrapped all of the presents that I've purchased so far that aren't "Santa" gifts. I wish I could say that I was completely done though, that would be great! We did venture out on Black Friday, but not until 11 am and by then most of the crazy was gone. My Mom, sister, Sarah Grace and I went to lunch and did some shopping. Very few Christmas presents were purchased, but we have plenty of wrapping paper! Can I just say that I love this time of year?! Sarah Grace is having so much fun with the lights and the presents. Everything is "Beatiful," or "Gorgeous." She's so funny and I love it! I've also been thinking and writing down some goals I have for the New Year which is soooooo not me! There are several things and areas that I want to improve on so I'm just getting ahead of the game and mapping out a plan! My Dad and Eric also have birthdays in the next couple of weeks. ( I know you do too Michele and I hate that we won't be there to celebrate with you!) It's Eric's 30th birthday and he is really excited. I would love to do something huge for him, but unfortunately the funds are always low in December! Maybe we should start celebrating a half birthday for him?! Anyway, I hope Thanksgiving treated all of yall well and I look forward to reading about yall Christmas activities.

Danni, you're awesome and you are a great friend. Stella loves you, too. She can say "Danni" very well. Tell those feelings of inadequacy to go away because you're amazing.

My birthday is not something to worry about. My friends are continually hounding me to pick a place to eat "birthday dinner" and I just haven't made up my mind. It just isn't something that I've done a lot of thinking about.
I did have to renew my driver's license this year and got that done today, so that's one less thing to worry about for awhile. I'm sure my birthday will be just like every other day of the week. Weekday birthdays are lame cause they don't feel any different than routine. Thanks for the thought. Wish I could see you guys next week too!!

I have yet to pull out any Christmas decorations. I called Laurel to come help me get motivated. Maybe I'll post some pictures for the littles so they can see Nana's house at Christmas. I just want you to know I love anything you blog. I really appreciate everything I get to read about your life and the family. Thanks for making the effort. Love ya.

Don't fix all the things in your house too soon. In my experience, as soon as you get the house so you love it...the Lord has you MOVE!!!!

I agree with Christina. You have many talents and if we lived closer we could get in a butt load of trouble!

Tell Melda that should be "boat" load of trouble. Butt load has a really crappy connotation!

I have to start out by saying I love you. I think you're wonderful and I appreciate anything you are willing to post. If I hadn't committed myself to make a book of mine, I'd go in and out more. It's hard to want to spill your guts sometimes. We love to see what we can of you guys, and Gabe asked to see pics of Sarah Grace all the time. So thanks for what you do, and we'll read when ever you get a chance to post.
