An end to the season...

The score says it all... Sarah Grace was venturing around other tailgating parties and picked up this Cocky from someone...I think we are going to have to buy one for her now! Eric got to open an early birthday present at the game! I feed my child highly nutritious breakfasts on gameday...
Well folks today was our last game of the season! Man was it a good way to end too! I'll be honest, I was pretty worried about this Clemson game. But we were able to shut CJ Spiller down and bring in a win. I tell you what, there are very few groups of fans that are worse then Clemson fans (I'm finding out that BYU fans have some issues too) and they sure were quiet during the game! Sarah Grace wasn't on her best behavior, but she only slept for 6 hours last night and the game was during her nap time. We survived though and I think she had fun, she sure loves watching the fireworks and spotting Cocky. Bowl game here we come!
*Just to add to my smack for those of you who have mentioned that Carolina was not ranked...how about the Mountain West weak sauce conference may have had some ranked teams, but they can't even begin to compete with the SEC!
Clemson & Georgia Tech who are playing for the ACC title game both got beat by SEC teams! If anyone feels like they need to tell me to shut up, please do!
**By the way, I don't even care about dumb BYU or Utah, clearly I am a big Utes fan, but my blood runs Garnet. I understand we are all passionate about our football teams and thats what makes football season so fun, but rude comments are not welcomed!
* Just to add some smack though, BYU lost to Florida State (who is one of the worst ACC teams) at home, and Florida State got cleaned up by Florida (SEC) today!
***Did I mention that I got to touch Steve Spurriers hand...wow is all I can say! Hello....legend and extremely good looking older man!

Football Season

I've been really bad about posting pictures from this years football games. I figured I throw a few of them all together to try and catch up for my family's sake. We've had a pretty good time tailgating and screaming our guts out at the games. I think my favorite game this year has been the Florida game, we only lost by 10 to the number 1 team in the country. I'm pretty sure the stadium was rocking that night and we all went home a little hoarse. On Saturday we play Clemson...it's gonna be a dirty game!

I'm gonna wash that man right out of my hair...

Saturday night my mom, Stephanie, and I along with several other women from our ward went to the Peace Center to see South Pacific! We had so much fun, minus a few of my bathroom breaks! I found myself smiling and laughing throughout the performance, especially when I saw the backside of two men go running across the stage! I think a few of the women were in shock, not me. A butt is a butt right?! I know an eighty something year old woman I met in the bathroom enjoyed it too! Thank you Rachel for giving us this opportunity we truly enjoyed it!

New Moon

I went to the midnight showing of New Moon last night and was not disappointed! I had so much fun even though the theater was chaos with almost every auditorium showing it! The conversations were good, popcorn even better, and yes, I did let out a very quiet gasp when I saw Jacob's eight pack! Wow, I can't even imagine how much that poor kid had to work out to keep his part. Yes, it was different from the book, but I thought they did a pretty darn good job. Oh and Bella looks a million times better. Yay to no blue eye shadow on her! I hope yall venture out to see it soon so I have someone to discuss it with and if anyone wants to see it again, just give me a call!
*Steph couldn't go with me, so it was two of my friends from work and my brother Jacob! haha He loved it though, he's a big fan of Victoria. Can't say I blame him, who wouldn't want amazing red hair! *By the way, it took 40 minutes to get out of the parking lot!

Playing in leaves

I think this picture is my new favorite.
Thanks to Hurricane Ida, we've had some chilly and wet weather come our way. Tuesday, Sarah Grace and I locked ourselves up in the house all day. We mostly cuddled, watched movies, and read books, but on wednesday we ventured into the gloomy weather. It was really breezy and leaves and pine needles were falling all around us. But it was fun playing outside in the misty cold. Sarah Grace is obsessed with her rain boots and she loved playing in them and didn't take them off until it was time to go to bed. I'm pretty fond of mine too and in fact, I also left mine on till bed time! I was mostly glad we were able to enjoy a bit of the fall air before it warms up again and then takes a turn for the worst and our cold winter begins. Have you ever spent a winter in the south? We may not get very much snow, but the humidity makes for a nasty cold bite.

An update?

She loves walking around in our shoes and lately has really taken a liking to my Uggs! Seriously, they are ugly shoes, but they feel heavenly on the feet. We have a golden raspberry bush in our back "yard." Sarah Grace and Eric love picking them off and chowing down on them. Sarah Grace has really been into lotion the last six months or so and you have to watch her or she does this. I think she has seen me put moisturizer on my face one too many times! On Halloween night my Grandma took her Trick or Treating around our neighborhood. She was mostly interested in walking Mr. Hendrix! She did get some good candy from a few friends in my parents neighborhood!
I've been such a bad blogger lately. I have about a million different excuses I could use right now, but I'm not even going to bother typing them out. Most of them do involve applications and Eric's school stuff. Just two more weeks of chaos and then the school apps will be done and Eric will be graduating with his Masters! Have I ever mentioned that I married a very smart man? ...I'm sure my Dad will laugh after reading that statement! All in good fun though! Today is the 11th of November, it's Veteran's Day, Sarah Grace's 22 months mark, and Eric met with a professor at USC about research. Big day! I usually start my mornings by checking all the blogs I read on a regular basis (while Dora the Explorer is on.) Weird right?! I don't know, I would hate to miss something I guess...haha and it always makes me happy when I have something fun to read or I see an adorable picture of my niece that was posted while I slept. Today I read a post that my mother-in-law had written about Veteran's Day and her appreciation for her family members who have served for this country. It made me reflect on my own family and all of the uncles, grandpas, cousins, and my brother-in-law who have made so many sacrifices for us. I feel very proud to have all of these self less people in my family, Brewers, Thompsons, Hulets, and Fluckigers. Thanks Judy for reminding us of these men! Now, on to the next big thing. My baby, who is so quickly leaving the baby stage and turning into this too smart for her own good toddler. Man is she a handful... but I love almost every minute of it. Maybe not so much the screaming fits when we won't let her play with our phones. (We're horrible parents aren't we?!) Nothing is sweeter than hearing her run around the house giggling. She is really into coloring right now and reading her books. She's also picked up on a ton of new words in the last couple of weeks which is what I've been told would happen. They just start talking one day and for the most part she's pretty close. Sarah Grace tries to dress herself in the mornings and usually comes in with pants on her head and on her arms. I suppose I should get a picture of it. Quite funny. We often catch her sneaking out of bed to get to one of our phones. I'm starting to wish we had never showed her the toddler apps. Bad idea! If I get up in the night to use the restroom, which lets face it, happens every night, she will follow me in. This morning I was up at 5am and I heard the door open and she had a huge smile on her face and said, "Mama" and plopped down on her pink Ikea toilet. We're working on potty training but not very vigorously. We've been a little preoccupied to dive completely in yet, but Sarah Grace tells us when she goes and lets us know what she did a good part of the time. Progress...slowly, but surely. I'm thinking after the holidays we'll go full force! Who knows, but right now I'm still enjoying her little diaper bum. I love it in her skinny jeans, its the cutest thing! I know this post is jumbled, but I think thats to be expected of me. I say that it's better than nothing right?!
*I started reading New Moon yesterday afternoon, I'm more than half way through, so hopefully over the next few days I can space out my reading so I don't become too consumed! (Did I ever mention that I have this thing with reading books? Once I start I can't put them down, it's a sad thing, but its just what I do. It's very rare that I walk away from a book, even if its a bad one.) Anyway, I thought I could use a quick refresher before next thursday.
