Yesterday Eric caught Will watching the New Moon trailer on my blog. Eric totally made fun of him and called him lame. When Twilight finally came to the dollar theater I made Eric & Will both go with me. Will walked out actually enjoying it, although he hated admitting it, and Eric well, he was not impressed. So yesterday I was able to witness a five minute debate over who was cooler...Harry or Edward. Wow is all I have to say! I heard such comments like, "Vampires can't even fly, or "Well Harry flies on a stupid broom." haha It was hilarious! I haven't read the Harry Potter series, but I have seen the movies and I love them. Twilight on the other hand I have read and well....I'm a sap. Love Edward! So who's your favorite?

Harry Potter, in a heart beat!!! strictly talking books- harry potter books are hilarious. not to mention all the twists and turns and the intricities of the plot. twilights plot just doenst have that going for it. now dont get me wrong, i like twilight. i find it quite enjoyable. but hp is just so much better.
i have to laugh because jimmy fallon has been doing a skit about this very thing on his show for a while. its funny. i love jimmy fallon. anyway, yeah. i'm a harry fan.
I agree with Trina. Harry Potter was hilarious. Nothing can beat the Weasley's they are so funny, especially the twins. Oh I could watch those movies any time they are awesome!
I was a major Twilight fan back when the books weren't big. I even became a love crazed edward freak, and went to all the mid night releases and obsessed day in and day out. Then the movie came, now I hate it. Uh, i wish it would all go away. It's so stupid.
As much as I loved Twilight, I whole heartedly agree with those girls. Harry all the way. The thought JK Rowling put into her plots just doesn't compare. Twilight was a one book thing that she stretched into 4(and it was a HUGE stretch for the 4th book in my opinion). We've been reading the serious as a family and it's great. (I think after 4, which is what we're on, I'll let them get old enough to read them themselves because it gets more intense from there on)
I'm rambling, but my vote is hands down Harry. I still have withdrawls knowing there won't ever be anything new coming out. You HAVE to read them Danni! You'll love them!
Interesting - they are both such different characters. I didn't love the books until I got to 4.Finally the triangular relationship went away and the ACTION really started. Harry Potter had tons of action through the whole series. I'd pick Harry for action and the other dude for prize winning caregiver.
Okay I figure I'll give my opinion, even though I'm sure not many will agree. I have to first say that I LOVE the harry potter series. To the point the some day I have a goal to go to the harry potter land in the florida universal studios-wearing a hogwarts scarf-HA! Nerdy I know. The series is full of action packed adventure that's fun to read. HOWEVER, harry is not my favorite character. After the third book he learns no more new spells and relies on others and luck to get him along. (it's kinda annoying) Onto edward. I love that series as well, even though it's not as good as hp series. Edward however, has all the strength, speed, etc and does a lot of stuff himself. He's a cooler character by far. So if you compare series-hp all the way. If you compare the characters which is what you asked- I'd have to go with edward.
Wow, thanks for the comments everyone! I can see that this is something people are very passionate about! haha...I do plan on eventually reading the hp series, but I tend to get obsessed with things very easily and I need to make sure that I have the time to allow this!
ok, here's comment dos. i agree with mandy. i was comparing the books- not the characters. so maybe i fail in reading instructions. i think harry as a character gets a little dull, and edward has a lot more depth to him than harry. however- as i said before- the hp books have a considerable more amount of depth. so yeah, i guess edward is a great character (i want to know more about his history, wouldnt that be interesting?) i find that series fun, but not much more.
