Canyon Campfires

Oh Shaun... Ok, how cute is this? I'm telling you in a few years... Sarah Grace hanging out with her Nana! The boys, unfortunately I missed getting a picture of them "spooning" as we were driving back up. Is that appropriate to type? Oh well, its my blog and it did happen! Handsome Jack! One of the things that I miss most about living in Utah, besides family, are the campfires.  There is nothing better than hitting Kohlers for a few beverages and snacks and heading up the canyon with friends.  I was so glad we were able to fit that in while we were out there. Judy aka Nana packed an awesome dinner of hotdogs and bratwurst for us to roast up at the fire along with tons of snack foods. We met up with our usual gang, Shaun/Annette, Nick/Brittany/and new comer Jack and Nana/Poppa too. It was so fun just telling stories, goofing off, and just hanging with the dudes. After a hour or so Sarah Grace got a bit tired and thankfully Nana & Poppa rushed in to take her home and get her ready for bed.  Thats about when darkness set in and I started looking through the woods in a very paranoid manner and twitching at every snap or rustle. I must say I had Annette & Brittany to help me with that! Once the fire was put out we realized Shaun had left his keys in Eric's parents car. So we all piled into Nick's truck with Shaun & Eric riding in the bed. We met up with Mike, got the keys, & Nick jumped in the bed to ride with the boys back up the canyon.  I'm so glad that even though we aren't close in miles anymore, Eric can still feel a strong bond with his buddies and that they can pick up right where they left off!  Honestly, we really did have a blast (I hate using that word because I've noticed that I use it way too much)  There is nothing like good friends!

That little Jack was not only cute he's really smart too. I think he'd be a possible match in the far future for my granddaughter. They're both darlings.

Those kids are both adorable. I love that. We miss that too. We haven't discovered good fire places here yet. I'm so glad you guys got to do that, it's the best. Danni did you have your flash light with you when it got dark?

That looked like fun! It snowed so badly right after you left...
