Obsessions
I haven't blogged in what seems like forever, but in actuality, more like a week I think... I've managed to find something else to fuel my addictive personality. So, I have totally been avoiding the Twilight series for many reasons the main one being that everyone seems to love it. I hate being apart of another trend, actually Eric & I try to go against any sort of trend and well, vampires are just not my thing. But after seeing previews for the movie I really wanted to see it. I didn't want to see it without reading the book first though, so this past wednesday I gave in and started the first book. Before the end of the night I had managed to stay in my pajamas all day, hardly eat, and allowed my daughter to take way too many naps, but I finished it that night. Crap! I loved it! Now I'm apart of the stupid obsessive Twilight frenzy! Saw the movie friday night and really enjoyed it, I would like to go again in the next few weeks when it will be less likely to have screaming women/girls in the theater cheering throughout it! Needless to say it is now Tuesday and less than a week ago I started book one and I'm going out today to buy book 4...did I ever mention I'm a fast reader? Maybe too fast! Eric says he can't wait to have me back! OH and just a funny one of Sarah Grace, doesn't she look like the kid from A Christmas Story! After viewing this picture and my massive biceps we went out & bought her a new car seat!

I feel the same way about being trendy. With books I feel different. You want to read something that got good reviews that other people like. It means it was written or made well. I love it when people give me recommendations for a book, cause then I don't go out and spend 20 bones on something that sucks. I like other people to read my books too, so I can discuss. I don't know it's interesting to think about. I see what you are saying though. I AM so very glad you love them. I haven't talked to anyone who hasn't read them all in the day they got them. I'm jealous you got to see the movie, I won't for a while. Book 3 was my fav, let me know what you think of 4. enjoy!
I truly am one of the few who did not love the series. And I think I was one of the few who liked book 4 the best. I'm just a sucker for happy endings even if they are a bit sappy, but the whole series was sappy sweet if you ask me!
just dont become one of those screaming women i beg of you. i enjoy the series, i want to see the movie (my mom/sis-in-law are both seeing it right now and i'm jealous cuz i dont know when i'll see it.) but i'm with you, i dont want to become a part of the trend, so just dont become one of those fans i hate and we'll be ok. :) i think that 4 was probably my favorite. its the only one i own.
