Happy Golden Birthday! This past saturday was my golden birthday, I turned 24 on the 24th! I'm not sure if anyone else really celebrates it, but my sister makes a big deal out of it! Eric, Sarah Grace & I got up early saturday morning and Eric brought me breakfast in bed, I totally loved it and appreciated the thoughtfulness and well thought out meal. My youngest brother Will had a baseball tournament on saturday so we spent a good 8 hours at the ball park! Half way through the games we had a romantic lunch with the family and team at McDonalds.  Sarah Grace was passed around and everyone just ate her up. The parents love it when she comes to the games and I love bringing her, what parent doesn't want to hear that their child "is the prettiest baby they've ever seen." I LOVE hearing it! Mostly because its completely true and I'm glad that other people recognize the beauty of this baby girl! I'm only half joking with that last sentence. After the games, we cleaned up and took long naps, all three of us! We then headed to a family party with dinner, cake & ice cream, and presents!!  I'm telling you, I made out like a bandit this year, golden birthdays are the best! My in-laws were also very generous this year and gave me some beautiful things to decorate with and gifts for Sarah Grace! It was such a great day and I had a blast. Although, it did end with me going to bed with a fever, the chills, sore throat, headache, stomach ache, and body aches! (I think I included all the aches!) I know everyone likes to end birthday fun with the flu!  Thank you everyone for the gifts, birthday wishes, and love that yall show me!!

More pictures!

I know I'm post happy again, I just wanted to put up a few more cute ones of the girl!

Sarah Grace loves to watch baseball games and had her uncle Jacob over today to watch the SEC tournament. She loves just hanging out with the "big" kids!! I had to include the crying picture, this is what I see when she does her fake cry. Lovely huh?!

Huge day for Sarah Grace

Today was a huge day for Sarah Grace!  This afternoon I laid her down on her stomach for her "tummy" time. She pretty much hates being on her belly, but sometimes she will tolerate it for about 5 minutes or so. Well today when I put her down she almost immediately rolled over!! I was so excited... it was the cutest thing ever! Of course, she hasn't done it since... oh well I guess. In other news, Sarah Grace is now a cousin. She is very excited about this and so are Eric & I! This is our first niece!  I don't want to post any details yet, everyone will have to get those from them, but Gabe is here and we can't wait to meet her in July!

*These pictures are right after she rolled over, she was pretty stoked! I loved the comment Jill, I do think this roll thing was just a tease though!! I guess we will have to see!

**Please don't look at my ugly carpet, its  on the list of things to replace!

Gracie girl is growing up...

Sarah Grace had an awesome play day last thursday. She loves playing with little toys now and is obsessed with cell phones! I guess she just likes the lights and pictures...I don't know. This past monday Sarah Grace woke up and decided she was going to start sitting up on her own. She can only do it for a few minutes without falling over, but I think thats pretty good!! I've been working with her lately on trying to put her arms out when she starts tipping. She's got that figured out,  but if she starts tipping backwards, well, she's a goner! Hopefully in the next week or so she will master it. Now rolling over, thats a whole other story....

Hooray for applesauce!

Sunday May 11th was more than just Mother's Day, it also was Sarah Graces 4  month mark! We were very excited about this day, it started a whole new world of exciting food for her. The doctor told me we could start her on applesauce, rice cereal, and baby oatmeal if we wanted too. I'm not really a big fan of the rice cereal or oatmeal so I'm only letting her do the applesauce and as you can see from the pictures its a mess! She loves the new flavor and even tries to feed herself when she gets it. This was a huge day for us and the whole family gathered to witness this big event for her! Her nana and grandpa in Utah were even able to see her eat during a video conference on the computer! Some of yall might think we are lame for making such a big deal over this, but we were really excited to experience this!

This past sunday I enjoyed a wonderful mothers day! Eric got up and took care of the baby so I could sleep in(yay) and he made me breakfast in bed. So yummy! That evening we went to my grandmas and had dinner and present. My uncle and aunt surprised us by coming. We totally were not expecting them! Its always nice having family around and my uncle made us homemade orange sherbet!! My all time favorite! The day ended with us going back to my parents house for more presents and other May 11th celebrations (to follow in next post) Overall it was a great first mothers day!! Thank you Eric & Sarah Grace!

Story Time

Sarah Grace loves reading time. Eric & I make an effort to read to her everyday and she absolutely loves it. She stares at the pages and tries grabbing at them. Its pretty cute! I'm just worried about paper cuts...

Happy 4 months Sarah Grace!

My beautiful girl is 4 months today! I can't believe how fast  time is going by. Its amazing how quickly babies grow and develop. It honestly seems like we were just bringing her home from the hospital and now she is this adorable little person!

At 4 months she is:

*Getting more beautiful by the day
*Trying her hardest to talk to us, she coos non stop
*Smiling and laughing when she sees mommy & daddy
*Trying to hold her own bottle when she gets them(quiet frustrating, cute, but frustrating)
*pinching, grabbing, playing with rattles and other baby toys
*Still attaching her hands and fists
*Loving bath time
*Grabbing at the pages of books when read to
*do ab work outs when sitting in a reclined position(you should see her in the car seat!)

Daddy's Girl

Loved these pictures of my handsome Eric and our girl!

Cute brother and darling girl

I thought I would post a couple of pictures of my younger brother Jacob. Sarah Grace absolutely loves him and smiles like crazy when she sees him. I personally think its because of the facial hair, probably reminds her of daddy. Jacob is so great with her and he is a wonderful brother to me. Usually once a week he stops by when he's not busy and watches her so I can clean the house and take a long shower. I am so grateful for this... I don't think he realizes how much I appreciate him helping me out! What an awesome brother! For that matter, my youngest brother Will is so sweet around her too! Sarah Grace just seems to make everyone fall in love with her! I honestly have people stop me in public and tell me how beautiful she is, kinda makes you feel good! I always say, "I may not look good, but by golly she always will" I was reading on someone else's blog the other day about the "mom syndrome" and how she runs around in jeans and hanes white t-shirts everyday. I was horrified!! Had she somehow stepped into my closet?!!  Don't get me wrong I love good jeans, a t-shirt, and cute flats, but maybe Eric is getting sick of it. This person was also talking about how none of her clothes fit right now due to nursing and her pencil skirts, well she can't quite zip them up yet  and she was ok with that. I for one, totally agree with the tops not fitting due to nursing! Did I really buy tops in an extra small before? Crazy! As far as the pencil skirts though, Oh I will get back into them, and I will look good!! haha, Oh, mine zip, there's just a little extra overflowing at the top!! But I am determined, I will not hold onto  even 1 lb of pregnancy weight!! This has really turned into a random blog, I've been good at those lately! I should probably stop while I am somewhat ahead! Oh, but in other news, Eric starts his "new" job tomorrow only prn though. We are hoping full time by the end of the summer! My sister is also finally home for the summer! Shopping, working out, swimming, movie watching, here we come!!!
