North Carolina
On Nana & Poppas first full day in South Carolina, we ditched the state and headed to North Carolina. There's a fun park just over the border that we like to take Sarah Grace to and we figured the place would be filled with opportunities for Judy to do some Geo Caching. We stopped for lunch at a local BBQ joint and then headed up. We found several little caches and even had some time to let Sarah Grace test out all of the slides. I mostly froze. It may not look cold in these pictures, but trust me, it was! When we were ready to thaw out we hopped back into the car and took a scenic drive through the canyon. Let me tell you, canyons and riding in the back seat are not a good combination for me. However, it was indeed beautiful. That evening while Sarah Grace napped, Judy & I took off to do some shopping. We managed to hit Trader Joe's, Ulta, Home Goods, & World Market. We picked up lots of fun stuff at the Joe's, new eyeshadow at Ulta (my eye lids are thanking me everyday for that little stop,) at Home Goods we just eyed all the fun stuff, and we picked up a few more fun things at World Market. We also drooled over my future kitchen table and chairs. We told the boys we wouldn't be gone long, but I think we were MIA for about 3 hours. Oops. Saturday night was pretty much our last night to get out before the big storm! Did I mention that the conversations were great?! I'm pretty sure we solved all the worlds problems in those three hours.

Hockey Game
A few days after Christmas we had the opportunity to go to a hockey game. We have a team about 25 minutes away from us and one of our buddies is an intern for them. We had so much fun at the game, I can't remember the last time I went to one. My sister and I were trying to remember all of the rules that go along with it. I think I forgot how violent of a sport it is. My sister at one point leaned over to me and said, "It's so aggressive, I like it." I enjoyed that line from her! I think the highlight of the night though was watching Jake, Will, & Eric go out on the ice and try to hit the puck into the goal. Seriously hilarious!! I wish I had video to post of it. Poor Eric didn't even have a right handed stick. I also really enjoyed watching my Dad's facial expressions during the game, he was having a blast. I think we know what to get him next year for Christmas! If you've never been to a hockey game I highly recommend it!

1st Snowstorm
*She was yelling for me to come back outside and look at her snowman in this pic!
Christmas night we had a nice snow storm come through. Sarah Grace was pretty excited that Sunday morning to go outside and play in it. We didn't have church that day, so we had plenty of time to play and drink hot chocolate!
We've since had another big snow/ice storm and we even woke up to flurries this morning. Whoever said the south doesn't have 4 seasons was crazy!!!
