Another Manic Monday...

Monday morning started out like most mondays for me.  I was in the kitchen and Sarah Grace and I had just finished breakfast.  Sarah Grace had gone into the living room to watch "Bawby" aka Barbie, a new favorite movie of hers.  I had stayed in the kitchen with my friends baby and we were just kind of hanging out, I was looking at recipes.  I had heard a noise and turned toward the window and before I knew it a car came plowing through my patio.  Now, for this next part I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall.   When the car was pushing through the fence I grabbed the baby and went flying into the den screaming at the top of my lungs. I scooped up Sarah Grace & ran for the front door frantically calling my Grandma and my Dad. I could see the car on the patio and smoke was coming from it.  I couldn't get a hold of my Grandma, but I was able to get a hold of my Dad and we was on his way.  I then decided to walk over to the back door to check on the driver.  My fence was completely pushed against the door, so I couldn't open it and the whole front half of the car was sitting in the patio.  To sum it all up, an 81 year old woman was picking up her granddaughter, who lives two doors down, and accidentally hit the accelerator.  Pretty scary, the poor lady was really shaken up.  Anyway, yesterday someone came out and cleared out the fence and the landscaping crew ripped out the shrubbery that was ruined.  Talk about an interesting monday...

Yikes that's freaky. Luckily it didn't go any further than the fence and the patio. I'm glad everyone was okay, including the old woman who probably shouldn't have a license anyway if she is confusing the pedals.

I have a little sympathy for the woman. I hit the gas instead of the break once and it's really freaky. I'm so glad everyonne is alright. What did the babies mom say? Glad you're all safe love you.

I'll bet that really woke you up! I hope you are holding out for a whole new fence. Maybe you can get some new flowering shrubs out of the deal or just leave it open for a little garden.

Wow, that's a day for the remember when. . . in the years to come. You are so lucky they didn't come into the kitchen. How scary!
