Rolls?

Sarah Grace decided today would be a good day to get some half naked shots of her.  I totally agreed so we went for it.  Look at those skinny little rolls...I don't think you can even call them rolls.  Its hard to believe that at almost 7 weeks she is still quite a bit smaller than a lot of babies at birth.  After about 5 minutes she was calling it quits.  By time I got around to the last picture she was in a full on roar!

The joys of singing...

She just looks so sweet in this picture, I had to
post it!

So I told a few people that I would be singing this week in church.  Don't worry it was not a solo...instead it was our young womens presidency which I am still apart of.  Our president felt like it would be a good idea if our girls could hear us sing. I personally have no idea why she wanted to do this.  There are four of us that make up this group and needless to say none of us have very strong voices.  Once again, why are we doing this?!  Several weeks ago we had our first and only practice, which I must admit didn't sound horrible, but nowhere near how it should.  Did I mention we were singing Walk Tall Youre a Daughter of God.  A very beautiful song that can easily be butchered by someone like me who gets a little over confident and tries to hit some of those high notes!  I was dreading singing all week long,  not that I mind getting up infront of people, but I HATE getting up knowing I'm going to look dumb. Sacrament was not long enough today...before I knew it I was walking up to the front.   all four of us were trying to squeeze around this little microphone that I somehow ended up right in front of. (Lame)  So I strategically grabbed hold of it and pushed it over to the right, as far away from me as possible.  My dear friend Shannon ( who now had the mic directly in front of her)  sweetly pushed it right back in center!  Darn!  But on a side note I did get some laughs in there!  After a few seconds we were ready to begin the dog howl of the century, I quickly looked behind me to see if I still had room to run.  Nope...instead I saw our 1st counselor who literally had my bum in his face.  This is naughty to say, but I was told that it was probably an improvement from what he saw everyday at home! No worries though, he had his head practically glued to his feet, I then quickly apologized for invading his space and turned back to the crowd and smiled. Time started dragging but before I knew it the intro was being played, I gasped for my breath when I heard the intro being played again.  I guess another practice wouldn't have hurt us!  This time we all opened our mouths and started singing and I realized that we weren't horrible!!  Phew!  Halfway through the song I looked at my cute friend to the left of me and noticed that her lips were moving but no sound was coming out!  What a great plan, I should have joined her! So in the end it wasn't that bad and I think I might even attempt a duet next time...anyone interested?  No guarantees that sound will come out though!
I didn't have any pictures obviously of me singing, so I put some pics up of my two favorite people instead.  Notice the tongue thing Sarah Grace is doing in the second.  Is it possible that she gets it from her dad?!

Cute pics for Judy

I do realize that this is a ton of pictures, but I just had to get them up so Judy could see her cute ever changing granddaughter.  Its amazing how much they grow and change.  She is so much more alert now and loves following you around with her big blue eyes. Eric and I debate everyday who this little one looks like.  He thinks she looks like him with a little bit of me in there.  I guess we will have to wait and see, personally I think she looks like my little sister Stephanie.   Either way Sarah Grace is such a joy and we love having her in our family.  She makes us smile everyday, she's even giggling in her sleep right now.  Too cute!

Nap Time

This past weekend my sister was home from school and volunteered her services! I of course love it because its quality time with my little sister and a little extra nap time for me.  This particular day I did not get the nap I wanted and deserve (haha)but Stephanie and Sarah Grace sure did.   We are learning that she loves laying on peoples chest.  Unfortunately for her, Stephanie was wearing a necklace.  My child's face does look beat up, but I promise its sleep marks and jewelry marks.  Isn't she just cute!?

My Valentine Girl

February 14th was a very special day for Sarah Grace.
It was her first Valentines Day.  The day started out pretty good, she was served breakfast in bed, had plenty of cuddling time, and even got a few kisses. She then received a morning bath, which is a favorite past time of hers.  Skip ahead a few hours and feedings and we find pretty miss valentine has left a lovely wet surprise in her cute outfit.  No big deal, we still had the pink socks with the red festive ruffle.  I quickly then dressed her in a different solid pink outfit.  Skip ahead a few hours and I was changing her diaper.  Something distracted me and before I knew it she had a lovely stream of urine hitting her socks.  Now that is talent!  Eric and I have decided that this child does not appreciate the holiday!

My cute girl!

Thank you aunt Michele for the cute bonnet and sweater! She just looks too cute in them! I'll be sure to post some of her with the booties too! Sorry the other picture is one of her and me. You can't see her beautiful face, but I don't have many of us together. It seems I'm always the one behind the camera. Its probably a good thing too since I still have a few pounds or twenty to shed! I'm determined to wear a pencil skirt at her blessing, now I know what yall are thinking, "pencil skirts are so last year" but its a goal of mine! I will probably fail miserably and will have to settle for something a little more forgiving, but I can dream can't I?.

Sleeping Beauty...

I love watching Sarah Grace sleep! She makes the cutest faces and sometimes just makes us laugh. She has beautiful lips and loves to pucker them up when she is napping. The last photo I just threw in so everyone could see that she does know how to open her eyes!

Happy Anniversary!

This post is a bit late, but I just wanted to say Happy Anniversary to my sweet husband of 5 years! I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful husband.  He is honestly the kindest man I know and he makes me feel loved everyday.  I appreciate all of his hard work, dedication, love, kindness, loyalty, laughter, testimony, and his tender heart.  We are so excited to have such a special anniversary gift this year! Sarah Grace came just in time for the big day!  Happy February 1st Eric!
Just  a couple of pics of us through the years.

Quick Update

Its been a few days since I've posted anything.  It seems like every time I get on I only have enough time to check a few blogs before Sarah Grace is requiring some attention. (Which I love!) We have really been keeping ourselves busy around here.  Eric has started grad school and is finally starting to adjust to the new work/school schedule.  We get to have him home most of the day on mondays & tuesdays and all of saturday and sunday!!  The other three days of the week he is pretty much gone from 7am to 11pm.  Not a lot of fun for him, or me! He seems to be excited over school and is madly in love with his beautiful baby.  As for me, well I'm loving the fact that I get to stay home and take care of Sarah Grace.  Its been a lot of fun and a lot of work.  I didn't realize how much laundry a newborn could produce in a day...  Sarah Grace really is a great baby and I can't complain, she doesn't spit up, rarely cries(unless we are starving her of course), and is just a joy to be around! Its hard to believe she is almost a month old!!  ...oh and speaking of old, Eric & I just celebrated  are 5 year anniversary.  Time really does go by too quickly!
I didn't really have pictures to go along with this post so here are a few random ones!
