We've been keeping ourselves pretty busy over the past few weeks and I have neglected my blog because of it. I've had Young Women in Excellence, the ward Christmas party, and now New Beginnings to plan. I don't think I fully realized how time consuming young womens would be when I was first called. On top of all of that, we found out that Eric got accepted into the graduate program at Clemson. We are absolutely thrilled and I am so proud of Eric. The only downside is he starts January 9th, the baby is due the 18th, and he is moving over to a different department at work. The boy has some major changing going on!! If anyone can handle it though, its Eric. We also celebrated Erics 27th birthday yesterday, a good portion of it was spent at the hospital in our birthing class. I don't think I have ever seen him so anxious. But overall I think he had a good day once we got to the presents and cake.
These are just a few pictures of us and the Christmas tree, isn't Eric just too cute!! The second one is my abdomen, I HATE pictures like this, but I figured since so many of yall don't get to see me, I would give you the opportunity. So, this is the belly with a few more weeks to go, I think half the baby is in there and the other half of the baby is somewhere in my face. Its so unfair!! haha So please take the time to poke fun of me now, because the working out is going to start as soon as I get the ok from the doctor!!

Eric and I have been very blessed and have had two baby showers in the past couple of weeks. We've really enjoyed all of the darling gifts and are hoping that we aren't surprised with a little boy in January. If so, he will be in pink and have a very girly bedroom! The top picture is one of me opening a gift from my mom, it's a Carolina Gamecock mobile. It will not exactly match the color scheme of the nursery, but who wouldn't want the Carolina fight song playing as they fall asleep.? The other two are of Eric, the diaper teddy bear, and the super cute stroller Mike and Judy gave us!! Eric is just loving all the pink and purple stuff. He's even admitted that they are his new favorite colors.

Time Out for Women

Friday afternoon my sister, mom, and I went to Atlanta, Ga for Time out for women. I had never been before and I really enjoyed it. The speakers were great and pretty inspirational, but the music was amazing!!! The baby seemed to really enjoy it too, she pretty much kicked and rolled around for two days straight. She recently has figured out how to kick me in my ribs. I can't really describe the feeling except that it is somewhere between a tickle and pain. Anyway, there were 12 of us from our little ward, it was so nice to be able to bond with these women outside of church. They were a pretty lively bunch. I would definately go again, just maybe not pregnant. The sitting for hours at a time was a bit difficult and I did have my first experience with swelling while there. Yes, saturday as we were leaving I looked down and realized I had a swollen left foot! Now I'm not quite sure why the right one didn't swell, but I am grateful that it didn't. Its not very attractive!! So here are a few pics from Saturday, the first is a group pic, the second is my fam (my mom puts my sister and I too shame!) and the third is my little sis and I. On a side note, I have noticed that all of my pregnancy weight is going to my belly and my face. Its very disappointing. But I guess thats better than your thighs right?

Happy Halloween!!

Tonight was our wards Trunk or Treat. Here is a picture of the trunk. We were lucky enough to win again this year and I'm sure Eric will enjoy the prize (its chocolate truffles). The other two pictures are the babies. Radley was a sheriff for halloween and Scout was a dinosaur, but she is missing her head piece. I'm not quite sure where the dogs put it, but I know Scout hid it. Don't they look so happy in their costumes!?

Eric, Jason, Stephanie, and I all headed over to the state fair after the game. We were able to see tons of cows, goats, chickens, ducks, llamas, turkeys, and a couple exotic animals. Erics allergies were killing him by the end of the day. These are just a few pictures of us with the animals and goofing off. Don't worry Steph had permission to sit on the massive cow!

Yesterday morning we headed down to Columbia for the Carolina/Vanderbilt game. We had a great time tailgating and we had one of Eric's good buddies from Utah with us. He was able to experience true trailgating and had a blast. Unfortunately my gamecocks did not win, (we are blaming this on Jason, he was wearing a BYU shirt under his Carolina one) but we still managed to enjoy the 80 degree weather and good food!

Grooming Day

This past tuesday was a lovely fall day here in South Carolina. Eric and I spent quite a bit of time outside and decided that the dogs should enjoy the day too. For Scout and Radley that included a nice long brush down! Radley didn't really need it, but Scout was definately in need. If you look closely in the pictures you can see where a bald spot is starting to form on Beagles hind end. Eric got a little aggressive towards the end there!! Anyway, the weather has been so nice here, I love this time of year. The leaves are starting to change colors and we are even losing a few. I have most of my fall decor out, but I am still waiting for Eric to venture up into the attic to pull the rest of it down along with the Halloween stuff. We have to start figuring out how we are going to decorate the old car for the ward Trunk or Treat activity. We won best trunk last year and are hoping to defend our title. I thought I would just post a few pictures of Eric, Scout, & Radley.

Football Season

This past saturday Eric and I piled into the car with my family and headed down to Columbia for some football. It started out kind of crazy but ended up being a pretty good day. Eric and my mom had this elaborate plan to make breakfast sandwiches while we were tailgating. Unfortunately are inverter wasn't strong enough to get the power to the skillet. Since we didn't have a backup grill we all watched Eric get frustrated for about a hour....poor guy. Luckily, my mom picked up 5 boxes of Krispy Kreme doughnuts the night before, so we didn't starve to death. Around 11:30 we started the hike up to the stadium and when I say hike, I mean it! We were pretty close to our seats when I thought I was going to pass out so I walked off to the side and sat down. Kind of embarassing, who knew such a little thing as pregnancy would throw everything off....Needless to say we made it to our seats! We ended up winning the game over Mississippi State and left in a lovely shade of red. 12:30 kickoffs are never a good idea! Anyway, it was a great day for football, Carolina won, Utah won (sorry Michele & Katrina), and Florida lost!

For all to enjoy...

I figured since I can't be on the phone all the time, this might be a better way to keep in touch with friends and family. Plus you get to see pictures this way! I've heard several request for more recent pictures of are family. Truthfully I think people want to see if I am getting fat yet. I am attempting to grow my hair out though and I think everyone will be more interested in the bad hairdos. Fortunately for me, I don't have any pictures to post yet. Eric and I have been pretty busy lately with his work, my attempt to work on fridays, and church callings. The young womens program has kept us both very busy. Poor Eric gets dragged into a lot of things he doesn't really care to do. I can't imagine scooping ice cream for hours at a time is very much fun for him. But I believe between his help, and my mom and Judys advice, I just might survive being in the presidency. Saturdays we usually spend watching football either at home or in Columbia with our Gamecocks. I personally think football has kept Eric going the past few weeks. Other than that, nothing too exciting going on. We are pretty laid back and are just gearing up for the holiday season. I love Fall!
